The Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum will bring 1200 corporate CEOs and 20 heads of state to OUR backyard. They will be negotiating trade deals that cover 60% of global energy systems and impact some of the most climate-vulnerable areas of the world. They need to see and hear resistance. Action Alert: Tell CalFire NOT TO Resume Logging Jackson State Forest Take Action!CalFire announced on Monday, October 17th that timber operations would resume in the controversial Caspar 500 Timber Harvest Plan (THP) located in Jackson Demonstration State Forest (JDSF). The plan has been at the center of over two years of protest in the state-owned timberland located in Mendocino County. Logging Will Restart in Jackson in Face of Tribal Negotiations

CalFire announced today that logging would resume in the Jackson Demonstration State Forest in Mendocino County, previously put on “pause” while negotiations with local Tribal nations were underway. CalFire made this announcement without informing the Tribes that they have been at the table with for six months.
