Bay Area Coalition for Headwaters - Who We Are
July 1, 2004
The Bay Area Coalition for Headwaters (BACH) was formed in 1993 as a grassroots response to redwood forest destruction on California's north coast. BACH's mission is to educate and build support in the Bay Area and other urban areas for the preservation of a biologically viable redwood forest. BACH connects the Bay Area community with rural forest activists to preserve the old growth ecosystem, with real solutions for forest workers and communities.
BACH mobilizes people for rallies, activates participation in agency process, acts as a conduit for information and material from rural activist groups, produces articles for publication, generates letters and postcards to decision makers on forest and watershed issues, organizes public events and workshops, and provides information and interview subjects to the media.
We are grassroots, volunteer driven, and depend on donations to continue
the work for the forests. Please contribute!

To subscribe to BACH's alert list, send a blank email to bach-subscribe@lists.riseup.net.
We send alerts out about twice monthly, specifically focussed on northcoast forest issues: tree-sits, lawsuits, current logging, legislative bills, agency meetings, rallies, demonstrations, events in the Bay Area and more. We do not share your email address with anyone else and will not forward messages on other topics to you.
